That's crazy! I have fond memories of mine (the R2/C3PO version) but that price is pretty darn high. I guess not everyone is worried about losing their job.

I don't think the price is to far out considering it includes the funky box, but as far as selling prices are concerned Ebay can be completely mad, it would be much more fun if it wasn't for the silly fees - still I bet the sellers quite pleased.

Oh yeah - the seller must be thrilled.
Good for him (or her).

Yes - I really like that Death Star box!
The one from my childhood was in a more regular looking box.

Is the death star box rare and pushing up the price?
Maybe it's appeal to 2 markets, Star War collectors as well as 'us lot', is also having an effect on price?
I like the box but the watch, although nice, is a little showy/comic strip for my taste.

That would be my guess...

Comic stip and showy - yes. But keep in mind it was originally marketed to kids. They didn't make any in solid 18k gold with a genuine sapphire crystal.

Maybe the buyer had this model when he was kid, or got one as a gift. I have found that sentiment often wins out over good judgement in such things. Hard to put a price on a re-captured memory...and the price he paid is not that wildly off the mark. I've been guilty of doing this a time or two myself...

Too true - we've all probably done that at one time or another.

Jeez Ed hasn't the wife given up by now. Remember the advice I gave you (and all of you try it)

1: Buy the watch
2: Get it delivered to your work
3: Keep it for 6 months
4: Wear it.
5: When asked "WHEN DID YOU GET THAT THING!!!!" you can answer in all honesty "this old thing, I've had it for ages"

You're not lying. It's the truth. Remember that when you look at her. It works
