I take it this is a rare piece. I have no clue to rare or expensive watches. I will be interested to see what it goes for .
$2000 is my guess (and that was just plucked from the air)

No, I hadn't seen it (not looking any more).
It's the 24h model and in better condition than my own one.
Could reach 1000€ (~1500$). 2000$ would be new record for a Makrolon GP - especially without box or papers.

I wouldn't quite go that far but it is a cracking looking watch and a great design (IMHO) definitely one that is on my wanted list!

According to one web site the numbers produced where -

9934 18k rolled gold - 2.200
9931 Stainless steel - 4.000
9939 Macrolon - 2.000

Any idea what percentage of them had a 24hr display?
