I call BS on that!

He's appears to be a towelhead, with a potty mouth, unable to interact with others on a peer level. Look at how his first post started here. He was bragging, and using a negative comment about high prices to distract from it.

YOU CAN CALL BS what you don't UNDERSTAND ! . Little you are !
You can call cricket ..whatever you always will open YOUR BIG MOUTH
And all of that BECAUSE your greed didn't get satisfied today
And if i miss one key or another is because i am in the middle of work!
and my mac is acting up .I have a real job you know!

Sadly, he has no idea of the caliber of the *many* contributors to this forum.
Your last two sentences are the two he should take to heart.

And maybe, just maybe, some of us don't need a job any more :-D

Anyway, I'm done with this thread.

EDIT: *many* added so it's made clear in context.

I have been involved with forums before there was a WWW.
Throughout the years i have always found this type of idiots .That when they can't make their point valid .Take it at a personal level . Making stupid jokes about your name .Creating the image of a personality that according to their small world would divert attention away from them .
Another tactic this morons have is use somebody else's thought .Only if it goes in their direction .
Morons . I could explain to you the complete design of that watch .From the microcode that little CPU uses to the algorithms in the multi level algebraic processing AH!!
MORONS ..!

You don't know a thing about watches .You polish and lube.Ocassionally you solder ???? I wonder about that !
Get over with !.You will note get your $300 today !

Great Jeff - come back, start a pissing match with some youngster you thought was the boogie man and then just bail :!: Today, like in the past, you felt you should write and chastise me for not feeding into your paranoia about people, at your speed - sometime simply because you thought they had followed you here from other hobby communities you had engaged in. And left.

Frankly - I would like to know who handed you the baseball bat? Last time I checked I was the bouncer at this establishment. A guy who left because he was irritated by some trivial little dickhead in Scotland, talking down his nose about "caliber" like he's on top of Mt. F'n Everest? Intellect doesn't make you a person of caliber.

And English is not [canito]Dave's first language...

I have been laughing my heart out . At each stupid reply .A couple of sentences are not even mine . Rash and a polish guy that i don't know well wrote the last one .One thing is true i have been involved with FORUMS for so many years .People think that their forum is a perfect logical world .Well they call it VIRTUAL for a reason .The other Thomas was blaming it on Colorado .When i came here just for this design
tell me if it was not FUNNY!
regards

I have to go for dinner now

Bye

PS : Sorry for the MORONS .Is just a word .! Is not because somebody say it to you that is true .Unless you could think that it is

I could buy into that theory - but like I mentioned, the behavior modification seems to be working. He doesn't seem to have his old gusto, if it is so. Don't feed the troll.

I think I have learned quite a bit about our new member(whom I hope returns).

The whole thing makes me think of this t-shirt.

I certainly did too ! .I think YOU HAVE A SERIOUS PARANOID PROBLEM at this place.
Maybe for all you is now hard to notice .Because it is your now defacto state. But for a newcomer.Wow !what the hell is going on here ?.
Is to me a very similar behavior that METH addicts portrays.
Makes me wonder if you're not all but a bunch of TWEAKERS!

On top of that it seems to me that you want to pretend that you are some kind of old LED watch CARTEL!.Deciding what is the cost of this or that item in the street.

You don't love this watches ! .You only seem to care about the potential GAIN
For you is all like fresh meat!.Well...

I would fully agree - paranoia abounds. But for some good reason - people have been stolen from in various fashions by people who come here, pretending to be someone else. Some have even made 2 or 3 accounts, just so they can "talk" to themselves. To make themselves feel better.

The prices: Some of us have watched  prices go up and down. And the longer you watch, you develop an idea of what the average selling/buying price of that type of item is. Some people want a good deal and will wait for one(cat& mouse), others want to get it NOW and will pay much more for that small enjoyment. And the same hold true for a seller and their motivations - money now or [maybe] more money later.

I think J Thomas has left the building, or at least this thread....so why don't you come out and learn a little more about the watches? Understanding the underlying technology is great, but sometimes you just need some practical, mechanical suggestions. And the methods used within the circuits are very different between manufacturers. Interesting if only for your greater edification(knowledge).

Thanks
I don't know everything .! I just say it! (joke)
But i am a fast learner .And i love to be in love .So i'm a passionate guy
Watches to me like every thing else in life are just a path to my creativity not the endpoint.
I invent things .If you read my first or second post. You will see that i mention that i would like to design my own watch .This design will be different of all other watches .It will be a real SCIENTIFIC watch .
what do i mean by that ? Not a multimedia or a phone watch ,neither a super calculator watch . Well you will see ...

regards

By the way i saw that in your web site you have a citizen watch ..and the gold pulsar ( i have the GF myself).Maybe one of this days i'll make you an offer !

I can assure you canito that this is not true. The most likely source of a vintage digital watch is ebay, especially for the beginning 'LED hunter' and no one here can set the price for all those auctions. More to the point, I have seen plenty of members here over the years ask for advice and tips on how to resurrect and restore an old LED watch and people here are always willing to help. I am not just talking about the $1000+ watches, most of these requests are for old, tired, no-name watches of little or no monetary value. I know because I've asked for help for several myself!
There is no profit motive or gain to had by helping someone repair a watch like this. It's just like-minded folks helping eachother....
with a few cranky folks now and again to keep things interesting. ;-)

No ..no the uwatch is just a simle calculating device .With very small silicon resources .It can still be qualified as a "calculator" watch

My device will process signals ...(our world is full of it..sound..light. etc).It is all i can say ..This has never been done !

It would be able to learn patterns .... It would be your personal friend a "watcher" over you .. Maybe i said to much already .. Nah..

You see now i have to kill you .. !

Oh, it processes signals (sound, light), and "watches" you. Sounds like a wristphone with camera
Let's talk about it again when it actually materializes....

The thing is that one does not know what one does not know.
This gets compounded if one does not know thát.

This is part of the competence model too. Step one is realising that there is always more, a lót more so that éverybody is only competent in véry little.

In Zen this is illustrated by reaching a summit to see that it is only one peak in a vast mountain range that one cannot oversee in its entirety.

There is no fault in not knowing. Only in thinking one knows all.
