Such a great pigeon ebay story.

Here is one of the best ebay Pulsar auctions text you will ever read....It could almost be made into a Pulsar fiction book :-D

Please read and make your own conclusions as to whom it could be.
I thought that this seller was a man but now he is a woman. I love the part in the auction text.....

"he was kind enough to give me a box to take the pictures in but the box is going back to jewelers sorry watch and horse shoe magnet only "

I guess most jeweler's have an original Pulsar box lying around for people to use for ebay pictures......lol.

Yes I saw this as soon as it appeared. It sold for £450 - was this a good price for the rarity value of this? Was tempted to buy myself but will hold on to get a minty GF Classic with DOW.

What rarity? Probably just a back marked 10k, that doesn't necessarily go with the case?

I have committed myself to not selling to any branch of the man's family, it has been too disappointing to me. After someone has busted my balls to get a piece "just so" and then have them turn around and sell it. Well, here is how I put it to a relative of his.

 Despite not being a collector myself, I spend a significant amount of time and effort with people who enjoy owning and collecting these items. I may not personally covet them, but I do have a fatherly attachment to my little "charges" after hunting them down and teaching them some good manners. If my family dog had a litter of puppies I would only let them go to a good home, not to the first schmuck that offered me my asking price. I wouldn't knowingly sell them to someone I knew was running a puppy mill. You sold the pick-of-the-litter without batting an eye. Bummer.

We shan't do any more business - I have no taste left for it.

The best part of that auction is the fact that they disclose them-self as a Woman, and in one of the pictures there is a big hairy hand pressing the command button M:)W:)M

Maybe "nippinbear" is a hirsute woman. Gold really does look nice against brown fur. :-)

Well, whatever the rest of the story on this watch might be, P2s with 10K-marked casebacks DO exist, and they ARE rare, almost as rare as the Hamilton-marked backs. The serial number (12108), does tag it as one of my restorations, so whatever other issues the watch might have, condition isn't one of them. Definitely high-end for a GF P2, but it's the buyers' money to spend as they see fit... BTW; I agree...the story in the description is hilarious!
