Your crystal is the synthetic Sapphire, probably made up of a relatively thick piece of the Sapphire, with a piece of red plastic film glued to the back of the Sapphire with a good quality clear silicone. You can redue the red film, but will generally lose the Pulsar logo, which is painted on the reverse/back of the Sapphire. Seems they were just painted on with some regular enamel paint.
If your glass happens to be one where it is a thickness of Sapphire bonded to an equal thickness of red glass, I think you are pretty much sunk. 'Course, you could just get a regular Dress watch's glass.
