From me, that kind of money (about $850) would buy you a minty, SS Executive with the 24HR module...got one here, waiting for a new owner. The seller's ID kind of says it; that kind of price on that sort of item does, indeed, belong in another world...

But you can't beat the low shipping - I can barely do domestic shipping for that!

Hi Funkyguy, well i am the newbie who posted this watch Quartus 2000 on Ebay, i have read your post and reduced the price of my watch, i thought myself i had listed this item too high but i am no expert on LED watches, i try very hard to do research on what i sell on ebay but for this item i could only find 1 posting on the web, from this site actually:

http://www.dwf.nu/viewtopic.php?p=30715

If you read down you will clearly see someone saying they had seen the same watch for $800 bucks on 'evilbay'.
So you might laugh but i actually got the price for this watch from this sight.

I know this watch is early 70's, if anyone knows its real price pls let me know.

The module needs replacing, the condition is not great, I would value the watch including the box and instructions at a maximum of £35, not being mean with you just honest - sorry!

The other thread mentions the same watch was on sale for $800 not that it sold for $800, sadly the asking price does not always match the actual value.

@Bucko

Hear, hear. I have a very similar looking LA Generale that need's a Litronix module. Been looking for some time for the right one. Reckon it could be worth 60 GB or 100 US max with a working module...

.. without 10-20 quid. :-(

Cheers

well many thanks for the info, i will let auction finish an relist at a cheaper price, i paid roughly £30 for it, for such a hard to find watch i am a little surprised so little for it, but i guess if not working correctly price will reflect.
When i could find no info on it accept from this site i thought i had found a rarity in the LED world, guess i'm not that lucky!
Many thanks again Lin.

That's a slightly odd statement to me, since most La Generals have a La General made/contracted module, and the buttons on La Generals are not in a pattern that correspondes fully to any Litronix movement. - to my knowledge(happy to see/learn something new here).
There is one La General case with a button at 10 o'cclock position that could hold the rare Litronix with a tip switch. Problem with that logic, the proper Litronix case had a button that could be snapped inward/outward, to keep it in a particular position. A pushable button would defeat the purpose of the contact at that position(on the Litronix). Sorry I went long, but htis was the most interesting part of this thread to me.

HI Ed

I will post a picture later -perhaps only the back of this one I have is
LA Generale.. Although I recall Egmon had a silver tone version of
'my watch' which I think used Litronix I will try and dig out the thread..
