I'm thinking it is an even sadder fake than the others. These people apparently don't think about HISTORY and what the name Girard Perregaux stands for - it was the combining of two family names! There is a reason both the names either start with a strong first letter if fully written out, or the letters are the same size if simply "GP"(frequently tied together with a sort of pseudo-hyphen from the G to the P). It is to give each family name equal importance. The back is unconvincing - I have a cheaper GP quartz analogue from the early '70s that has a snap on back that would fit a variety of LED cases(came in the same box as the GP driver). I doubt the seller is the perpetrator, I think someone in that area is making these, as I recall the other sellers had a relatively close geographical location to this one. So I'm thinking someone is making these things sporadically and then wandering into NAWCC shows, fooling some mechanical watch dealer that they have a rare digital GP in their hands. And again, such a pathetically plain looking item, compared to the GP drivers, with their movements which were made by GP. Are we to believe that GP made a plain round movement for an even plainer round-faced LED? I'll contact the seller - seems the thing to do.
Edit: Auction notes the back says USA....odd for a Swiss watch?
