I appreciate your opinion. I also appreciate and respect the opinion of the administrator here too, and so I based my price right in the middle of a range that was recommended to me.

Im an lcd guy, so I needed help on this one. :-)

Thanks again,

Well, actually, the range I quoted you depends on which particular Hughes module - that is marginally higher than I generally ask for that particular model(I think at the time I threw out those numbers I thought I was selling you a module, LOL). And I like to think my prices do come with some added value - I offer assistance in getting the right module before the sale, and taking care of issues after the sale. A customer-dealer relationship Steady dating vs. one night stand.

 Note, a percentage of my sales go to support charitable causes, primarily www.Dwf.nu and www.ledwatches.net.

Im at the mercy of the members here. I really am clueless to the value of these modules, but the term value has always been a touchy term in the lcd world, and so I imagine it has been with LEDs too. I was offered $600 and climbing for my mint Casio Marlin W-750 by someone who truly wanted a mint example of that watch. I was the first to tell him that it is not worth that, but also, there was no money that I would take for it because it happens to be one of my favorite watches in my collection. To at least 2 people in the world, that watch was priceless.

The range you gave me before was pretty wide, 80-100, but more recently you gave me a concrete number that you shoot for of $85. Now that I understand a little more how your sales work, and certainly understand the reputation you must have as a seller, especially if it rivals the time and helpful information you have given to me, I would agree that a module of similar condition sold by you will probably have more value than the same module sold by me, an expert on vintage Casios who has a few LED modules sitting around. :-D

Im heading for Philadelphia in a couple hours for a wedding and wont be able to monitor eBay or this thread for a couple days but I do value your opinion. In an hour before I leave I will highly consider a value from you and make a change to my listing if I can afford it.

Thanks for all your help. I do greatly appreciate it.

Don't sweat it man - I'll admit, I was a bit perturbed having our consult being referred to(being a bit sleep deprived today, I am "cranky" to say the least...the dog is hiding somewhere in the house avoiding me). Realistically, the members here are generally so well informed as to what they want and need, that the value is substantially lower on that item, to THEM. But to a large number of LED watch owners, who are unwilling/uninterested to learn more about the piece on their wrist than the name, that module is a good deal. It is analogous to people trying to sell run of the mill pieces here - they fail miserably because the people here are generally moving into the more unusual and arcane pieces. Basically we are a jaded bunch. !@@!

Is your Hughes module dot or line display, if its the latter I'd say you asking price is bang on as its a rare one.

I've been looking for that Optel module for ages I've got a very nice case for it, would you be interested in a trade... :-)

My friend, you can always reduce the price but you cant increase the price. Go and enjoy your wedding and amend your price (if need be) in the future. Give it a go, why not!

I wish you all the best.
