Dodgy? solid 14k P3

Her weight is about 17 grams over reality...I'm going against a solid 14k P3 with 14 links(not including the connectors), fully loaded with batteries, Pulsar magnet, ..solid everything(ring,clasp, magnet door,back).

Yeah, I went back and forth with that guy, I suppose I should have reported he had just rough weighed it and eventually came down to about what you are coming up with Bruce. His original claim of almost 4 ounces would be 113 grams.

Explain the folded-tab bracelet comment please....

Pretty good, the gold alone would be about $1500(don't forget to convert to Troy ounces, not common ounce).

I think that Bruce is getting close to owning 100 solid gold Pulsar's, I sure in a previous thread he mentioned he had 98.........that one makes 99....the next one is the big 100......right????

I just looked at the listing....amazing, he copied my email
91 grams is 3.209(28.35 grams to an ounce). A troy ounce is 31.1 grams. 28.35 divided by 31.1 is .911, not .75. So, 3.209 X .911 = 2.92 X .5833 = 1.706 troy.

Scrap that sucker if it doesn't hit $1530.

But the bracelet Bruce, what's that about a bent tab bracelet? I've got a few solid gold banded Pulsars here and all are made by bending tabs over the back piece, as opposed to spot welding the caps to the backs of the links as on a gold-filled. I'm curious, is there another way they did this?

Not sure what else I can tell you...if you have a couple, you can see how different the construction is from the standard bracelet [all the inner plates have to be removed before the links can be seperated, and are connected with captive, straight pins, rather than the omega-shaped spring pins]. These bracelets exist in stainless, goldfilled, and 14K solid gold, but not 18K [AFAIK]. Both my 14K Pulse-Time Pulsars have this style bracelet [interesting that such an early-style bracelet is found on such a late-model watch]. Standard bracelets outnumber these at least 20-to-1. I have a fully-disassembled one of these in 14K [from the watch in question] I'll photograph before I put it back together...

Ok, I see what you are talking about. The 14k Neiman Marcus P3 I have for sale has that band. But the 18k P3 I sold you had the more common style. Same with the 14k Executive I have up. The NM is in such nice shape, I never had need to really look at the band.
