"Recent clean polish & service. New battery fitted" I wonder what 'service' work they did on it, and looking at the first pic that watch hasn't seen a polish since it left the factory some time in the last year or so, come to think of it I doubt it needed a new battery either.

My favorite is still this one - writing "not tested" in the title and photographs it resting on a watch opening tool and with back removed. What the description really lacks is something like "I don't open watches to test them with new batteries, i just open them and enjoy the smell of leaked batteries."

Another favourite is "I don't know if it is working I know nothing about these watches and I don't have the right batteries" followed by please view my other items.....which if viewed reveals listings for several working LED watch with new batteries installed and an accurate description of what is on offer.

Here's another from just yesterday:

A module sold as "NOS" (item 251389509595). First, I ask if it has been tested which is followed of course by the "we don't know what kind of batteries it takes" excuse (despite the fact that they claim to own a jewelry store). Then, after informing them on the battery type, there's the "no spacers" excuse. After informing them that no spacers are needed and how to test the module, no response. Typical.

my father and i have a jewelry store so we have plenty of 357's on hand but I do not have the battery spacers that are required for this so I have no idea just selling it as is

It's been offered with/without many diverent options of boxes, papers etc.
Maybe the offer was so high because he thought it was solid white gold.
Either WAY it's a KEEPER so.

The seller must have a different idea of what NOS means maybe he is thinking it means, 'Nackered, 'Oribble, Shit or None Original State or he is thinking of the potential buyer and thinking this one will be a 'Nobs Only Sale.
