A tale of 2 battery clips

Post20 Sep 2011, 10:38

Hi, I've picked up 2 watches recently - a non running Pulsar P2 which is actually working fine but the caseback battery arm, which should be cemented to the inside of the case, is missing. The other is a Sinclair Black Watch which again is working but is missing the battery retainer/clip. Does anyone have spares to sell? Many thanks.

The Pulsar bow-tie is very available...I can certainly part with one for the price of postage and an envelope....I never throw them away...bit neurotic 8-) The Sinclair: hmmm, that would be pretty rare. It seems to be the most commonly lost part of those, right along with the battery hatch proper - both are fairly "junky", IMO. And you will struggle with the dilemma caused by the soft, flexible plastic of the battery hatch: if you use a strong clip, the hatch will bend and want to push free of the case. A weak clip will struggle to keep contact. :x And that plastic is almost impossible to glue to - I think I had to resort to melting the clip to the back on the last one I fabricated.

Darn, you had to remind me that I have one of those (Sinclair) waiting for that also. Mint, boxed, paperwork - no stinking clip!
