Need a M159 Caseback Gasket

I just need a rubber gasket. Does it make a difference if the gasket is a Seiko brand gasket or not? Would anyone know this fact? I know that the Seiko spring bars are possibly better quality than the new made in China ones, but I am not totally sure about the o-ring gaskets. If anyone knows about o-ring qualities please get back to me on this.

One question to anyone who knows anything about watch caseback gaskets.

Today I visited my local watch repair store, and I was told by a jeweler that the gasket I removed from my Seiko M159 was indeed NOT a rubber gasket, but instead, a plastic gasket. Is it possible that the gasket I removed from my watch was hardened over time? This would make since. Also, the gasket she claimed to be a match to mine was the same size, but mine was taller by 1/8mm. Will this make a real difference in the way it works? Please let me know, as I do want to replace the gasket, but I want one that works correctly, and really don't want to spend $10.00 USD on a gasket.

Here is what I did...

I called Jules Borel, and they told me that I needed to speak with a watch jeweler to get the right size of the gasket. I did this yesterday, but the person that looked at the M159-5059 gasket said that it was made of plastic, and NOT of rubber, and stretched it until it broke. She then gave me the same size gasket, but was a little smaller in "height."

I also called Otto Frei, and they said that they had one, and the part number was F22960B01. When I asked the lady if the gasket looked square, she said "No" the gasket was indeed round.

I really just need some sort of solid answer as to what kind of gasket to replace the ones that were missing an or damaged for all three M159's. If anyone has an answer, I would greatly appriciate it very much, and I also hope this does NOT cost 1,000.00 USD.
