Hi friend!
Here to show you my latest acquisition....an used Seiko A258 found abandoned in a jewelery's drawer for long long time...
The was not working with a lot of oxidation on the circuit so with a classic good clean (vinegar) i removed all the green then demineralized water and then gently dry...I clean also and lube all the buttons (very hard to push)
When i put in a fresh battery (after some hours later) the watch lights up immediatly

: all the function works great incl light and loud alarm...There's only a little spot on the reflecting mirror due to battery leakage ( the battery sits behind the panel ) and seems to be a very common fault
Now i can enjoy my first Seiko solar....well if someone have an original reflecting mirror for this seiko let me know

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way
