Meister Anker Blade Runner

Post11 Dec 2018, 10:23

From Ebay to my wrist, just only 14 euro incl. shipping.Sold as working with non responsive buttons....it needed only a clean and voilà,now buttons works like a charm.
Most of the original black PVD is gone off.... So a pool for all the memebers: excluding a PVD treatment what do you think about to try to paint the watch with an high temperature black can paint spray? It's better leave the watch as is or not? :-)

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Yes...i can confirm: the Harrison Ford's watch was an used one back in 1982...not new or near new, just simply used.In this pic you can see some of the black gone off...maybe is only a lights effect? No i don't think...
I choose to keep mine as is... :ntars:

I'd leave it as is, black paint will scratch up and it will look terrible in a very short time. At least it looks evenly worn as it is.

I had good results with DIY powdercoating on a damaged Seiko clasp —

The watch was NOS though so the finish looked in keeping with the rest of the watch. Results may vary with a watch with some age to it.
