Battery changing on a Seiko 439 calculator

Post19 Aug 2006, 17:50

The caseback of my Seiko 439 seems to be held in place behind a couple of clips, that extend out from the watch strap, where it meets the case. Is there any special tecnique for replacing the battery? Do I have to remove the watch strap from one side of the case? Thanks for your help people :)

Yes, just remove the band from both ends....I have one of these...hideously retro but funny. If you have the manual they go to great lengths telling you not to attempt the battery removal yourself.

Cheers little1up, it was the manual that put me off! I thought, how tough can it be?
