Titus lcd watch?

Post23 Jan 2007, 18:07

This is my first post in this forum, greetings to you all.

I've been looking at a watch up for auction on swedish auction-site tradera.com

http://www.tradera.com/auction/aid_38463254

The auction is for a Titus lcd watch, said to be from the seventies. I have not had very much luck trying to look this brand up via google, but from what I've been able to understand this watch is not a product of the original Solvil et Titus brand, but is manufactured by some Hongkong based company using the old Titus trademark. What I'm wondering is:

1. Is there reason to believe that the watch is actually newly manufactured (fake), or is the hongkong-titus-brand actually over 30 years old?
2. What would be a reasonable ending price for it, if it's really vintage?

In my opinion it's pretty good looking, but as I'm considering buying it as a gift I don't want to end up with garbage. :)

Hi,
it's vintage but early 80's I'd say.
It's nice but nothing special here.
I wouldn't pay more than 40-50 euros max for it if you really like it.
good luck!
