of all seikos excellent lc/lcd range,what are the best versions in terms of build and quality?

As a collector I would say the 1970's era watches. But I'm no Wizzard of Ed, just a guy who has a few. From what I gathered from this site and others is that the "LC" branded Seikos from the '70's are the most easily repaired. I'm sure one of our repair persons could shed more light on this subject......

I called Seiko to see about repairing my Seiko H249-5090 Duo-Display Alarm Chronograph and they said No.

Keep an eye on eBay and you'll find a replacement module for it sooner or later, and it'll be much cheaper than Seiko would have been anyway.

The watch is quite beat so I think it is retired forever. Even sentimental value has it's limits.

Can you please tell me the price difference between the market prices of Seiko watches and the price of eBay...
I have heard that eBay is a bit expensive..
