Hi Pschcologist
I have some NOS Savants here. I cant give you a huge amount of information but I know from the packaging that they were either made or distributed by commodore. The also produced the trilite which was some sort of coating that lit up at night(these are the models I have(they no longer glow), I think the company may have been Savant and these were a product of Micro display systems inc.(this came from an advert somewhere else on the net) in Dallas, whether the modules were made there I cant tell for certain. One of the watches I have is at my site here:

I hope this gives you enough of a lead to find out more info, if you do find out more let me know so I can add it to my site

kind regards

Adam

Hello Adam,
Thank you so much for the info. I have been "Googling" this watch for several days and could not locate any info.I wore this watch for many years and stumbled across it in a drawer when I was looking for something else.If I learn more I will post the info.

Thank you, thats the image I got my information off, the rest is off the boxes and the literature I have, although its quite interesting there is no mention of Commodore in that advert. I wonder if they became involved later.

kind regards

I used Bing and Google to search Micro Display in Dallas and there is a little company info that mentions their Digital Watch Dept and their digital thermostat dept. Apparently Commodore is not the Commodore that we know of (ie Commodore 64 computer). It discusses Commodore Optical. So I believe that the watch was made by Micro Display Systems,Inc of Dallas. I was living just outside of Dallas during the mid 1970's so maybe that is why I got it.Thanks for all the info. It has been kinda fun looking up info on this watch.

Sincerely,
Reed
