Chunky 70's Seiko LC

Post05 Feb 2010, 20:58

I've had this Seiko in my collection for while now, but recently had it tuned-up. This is Seiko's 0634-5019 model, if I'm not mistaken it's their first digital stopwatch. The case back serial number indicates a birth date of August, 1976.

It even has a flashing colon...

After this model Seiko put their LC's on a diet....

I love the band :!:

Nice Seiko Ledluvr.
I've got one the same.......it's my favourite Seiko. It reminds me of an old TV with the deep bezel. I think I've seen it referred to as the TV style Seiko too.
Mine hasn't got the original band, but I'm on the lookout ! Watch out if you wear it, I think the black paint wears off the band pretty easily.

Rgds.

Hi charger105, I should have guessed you had one in your collection. :-) I do wear it - but only as part of a rotation so it isn't getting too much use. Yes - I've also heard it referred to as the "TV watch".
On the two buttons on the front, if you look real close you will notice one says UHF and the other VHF.......
j/k of course....
