Seiko CX003M

Post18 Nov 2010, 03:45

I have a Seiko CX003M that I bought from a local jeweler who was going out of business. It sat in a drawer for 25 years and still has the original hang tags and a price tag of $320.

It has a few hairline scratches from storage, but looks fine and is in perfect working order.

Does anyone know if these are worth anything? I looked around using Google but couldn't find out much.

Apart from my Ventura v-tec Delta, I have no other digital watches and I'm thinking of selling this one. If it's only a $50 watch I'll just keep it.

This looks like a 0634-5019 to me. Not sure what the CX003M refers to ?
Anyway, this model is desirable, and in top condition could fetch a few hundred dollars I'd say.

Andrew.

Hi Dave1442397,
this particular Seiko has been a sought-after model for years.
If it's in the condition you say it is it should still fetch a good price even these days. If you decide to put it up on ebay, I would suggest to post lots of pictures from every angle, and use the words "Seiko" and "0634-0519" and "LCD" and "Digital" in the title. You'll get more hits this way.
Good luck!

I've watching (and waiting - for a bargain) on these early Seikos for
a couple of months now. I need a daytime digital to go with my LEDS - well that's my justification).

True to say that the 'front button' models command quite a premium over the later ones.

Nice find I'm quite jealous !

Thanks, all, I appreciate the info. The CX003M is what's on the Seiko hang tag, which is why I thought it might be the model number.

I'll have to browse around and see what these are going for. If any of you are interested please let me know before I put it up for sale publicly.
