Beltime LCD Module

Post27 Feb 2014, 10:18

I'd like to get my Beltime chronograph going.
Here's a picture of a working example:

It uses a Hughes LCD module. Unfortunately the PCB on mine is cracked.
Does anyone know of other watches which use this module ? Or better still, does anyone have a spare one they don't need ?

Rgds.

The Guarda Val chronograph uses the same module- the trickery to bring the buttons to the front is all in the case, module is just standard side button Hughes LCD Chrono. These are quite plentiful due to there having been sold through a Scotcade advert in Sunday papers back in the late 1970s (well, at least here in the UK they are!).

Thanks for the info Old Tom.
I wondered about the Guarda Val modules. I assumed the modules were basicaly the same, but guessed the contacts must somehow get presented on the face of the module (for the front buttons). Good to know the trickery is all in the case.

If you can think of some brand names for the common watches with these modules, I'd appreciate it.

No problem.
I assumed it would turn into a bun-fight, so didn't even bid on it.

I'll wait for a reasonably priced example to show up.
