Casios digital hands: AN-8 and AE-71

Post07 Feb 2017, 15:22

Both NOS and fully working...The AE-71 was found in store,no cleaning needed, just only a fresh batt. Not the same about the AN-8 (module 104),found in a lot of watches on ebay: a forgotten battery leave acid on the board so a cleaned operation do the job (ok,i was lucky).Just a little bleed on the right (near the "two roman number") but it doesn't affect (at the moment, finger crossed) the watch. :-P
The AN is a funny watch, you can choose from two possible displays: one with the seconds represented as a hand or one with the seconds represented as a series of accumulating tick marks.

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way
