Seiko scubamaster M726-5A00 display problem?

Post01 Mar 2017, 23:03

Hi
Have a friend that has this good looking scubamaster M726-5A00 that has got a strange display? It's like it's floating something around inside the LCD. The display works as it should but the dirt or what it could be is in the way in front of the other numbers? AS you see it's not always in the same place?
Do you think it could be repaired or is it kaputt?

Something has degraded inside the case. It is now floating around between the case crystal and the LCD panel. Open case, remove module, blow or brush out debris.

Replace degraded seal. Water resistant dive watches are only water resistant under warranty for a year. To extend warranties on expensive dive watches the seals must be replaced once a year.

Easy fix.

That is good news :-D Will take a look at it? Is the movement easy to lift out?
Doesn't look like there is any stem or anything like that? Do you now if the gaskets are just normal round ones? There isn't to much to read about this movement on the net?
