A628-5000 Back on original power cell

Post14 Nov 2020, 19:46

Hi all hope everyone is ok, safe and well.. I haven’t been on here for a while but thought I share this fantastic Seiko A628-5000 of mine now back up and running with its original Maxell XR9527W Rechargeable battery
It was running on a ZPower 312 Silver Zinc Rechargeable SZ312R hearing aid battery I modified to fit which worked great too and would happily explain how to do it

Here is the Zpower battery to fit you need to remove the gold cover and carefully sand the battery on both sides down to 3.2mm this is so there’s enough space tolerance so the watch cover fits without the battery squash or crushing the LCD display the plastic spacer add 9.5mm dia ;-)
