Yes, I may be getting one within a week, so any advice would be welcome.

Well, if either of you gets one, please post a review!
LED watches are quiet and polite. No ticking, no tocking, no beeping, no buzzing; they will only tell you the time when you ask to see it and they will do so instantly with no attention-seeking animations. A more civilized watch for a more civilized age.

I looked at one today and was interested. Is there any way to turn off the noise that occurs when using the scroll? The manual does not provide any information on it.

According to the new combined Alpha+Delta manual (download here): "turn scroller fast by 90? to switch on/off beep-tone" (page 5).
This pdf (for the v-tec Alpha, German) says it works by turning the scroller by 120? in either direction, that Ventura didn't write this in the manual to keep it simple, and that they'd write it down in the new Alpha+Delta manual because customers often asked for it.

Thanks. If you do that fast scrolling to turn the beep off, then every time you need to fast scroll during setting of some field, the beep returns?

I don't know (have no v-tec), but that would be really stupid. So I guess it doesn't work during setting.
