CoolHunting.com Video Feature at Watchismo - Feature LED/LCD

Post16 Sep 2006, 01:38

Hi everyone.

Well, CoolHunting.com sent a film crew to my home wanting to feature my collection and so forth. They included a Synchronar, Mido Sideview, Benrus Pop-up LED & others for the final cut. Take a look, links below;

If having trouble with the one above (you need latest Quicktime for it), try the low-res version at YouTube.com

Quite a collection Mitch. Interesting to hear that most of your buyers are from the UK. Any idea why that is? I've always had the idea that the a large chunk of the interest would be from the USA, with most of the remaining buyers being from the UK, Germany, and the rest of the world in a farily equal three way split. I don't really have an explaination as to why I though that, only it may have a little to do with the relative contribution levels, from members of diffeent naionalitles, seen on this forum.

I'm not exactly sure why a majority of my customers are from the UK, I have a couple of theories. I actually got contacted by QP Magazine (British Watch Magazine - www.QPmagazine.com ) after the video aired and that comment sparked interest for an article about me to be coming out in October. Here is how the UK connection was discussed;

"The Watchismo website is the main forum for Greenblatt?s round the world sales and curiously, most of his watches are sold to British fans. Greenblatt suspects this might be because the Brits are known to spend a relatively high proportion of time online and they have a high appreciation of good design."

I've watched this three times now with the intention of checking to see what kind of watch Mitch has got on his wrist and every time I've been so impressed by the collection that I've gotten to the end without seeing it :shock:

Cool video, cool collection, cool website, cool dog.

I'm wearing this one; http://watchismo.com/gal131.htm

Glad you noticed Grace, our Pit Bull/Boxer mix, she protects the collection.

70% of my LED watch sales are from the UK and Europe. By contrast, my Canadian sales would be in the 1% range.

Does that mean that Canadians don't buy from Canadians :wink: ?
