Well, the real problem is probably just your naivete - most of us who have been at this for a while are ready for a new color. It could be certainly argued that the new models can best pay homage to the past, by not trying to replace it. A clean display, an absolutely unique case design, some nice features.....when your collection of vintage gets to a certain point, you'll see the light.
