Instructions needed for a POD 524

Post16 Feb 2009, 16:27

I purchased on eBay cheap because no manual - they said I'd be able to get one downloaded (but can't, of course). Can anyone help? It has 4 buttons - topleft (L1) is "Set", bottom left (L2) is "Mode", topright (R1) is "Up", bottomright (R2) is "down". It has 3 digital displays in a triangle, one at top (TD), 2 at bottom (BL and BR). They can display, by pressing Mode, 3 sets of data - Day/Mon/Year eg 02-05-09, Hr1/Min1/Sec1 eg 11-23-42 and Hr2/Min2/Sec2 (showing all zeroes). I can change the first 2 OK (press Mode, then Set, then Mode again to cycle through); but the 3rd (which I suspect is timer/stopwatch - which I'd really like for diving) does nothing at all. Could just be faulty, or a non-implemented option, I guess - but more likely I need to know the right combination of buttons to press!

What's a "POD 524"?
I googled but only found your same question in another forum.

What brand is it?

Can you show us a picture? Maybe the same watch comes under different names and there is a manual for a similar one.

Picture as requested.......

Like you, I've Googled - found plenty of POD watches - but all being the cheaper, basic watches, not a specialised diving one like this - and none with this particular combination of dials and buttons....

any help or suggestions appreciated

Ian.

Sorry, I have no idea.
Did you ask the seller for the URL where you'd be able download the instructions as promised?

Never heard of "pod" (up to now). Sounds like one of these countless Chinese "brands" that pop up and disappear like bubbles in fizzy water (I don't want to use the word "Champgne" in this context ;-) ).
