New watch: Halda Space Discovery

Post11 Sep 2009, 14:09

Hi gang!

The co-founder of Sjöö & Sandström, Mikael Sandström is at it again. This time, he has revived an old swedish watch company. It will soon release a watch, the Halda Space Discovery. I presume it will be an LCD Watch, hence my choice of forum.

The HSD is supposed to be a new space watch, very rugged and using a swedish astronaut in its advertisement. It packs at least two silly featuers; a 3-axis accelerometer and a particle counter.

Most of us will only be able of dream about the HSD, it will cost plenty-plenty. It will be a limited edition of only 128 watches.

More info at http://www.haldawatches.com.

Cheers!

After a very prolonged PR-stunt have they finally decided to show the world what it looks like. (www.haldasweden.com)

The watch might be worth some attention if it's at least half as fancy as the home page...

With the Space Module it's a very good looking watch with some nice and useful features, like "Acceleration, the G-force, can be measured automatically during liftoff, during the re-entry phase, or be initiated at a chosen point in time. During measurement, the highest G-force value is stored in a separate memory." :-D
