Ventura is back!

Post15 Jan 2010, 20:54

Almost can't believe it's true: http://www.ventura.ch/index.php/cat/c146_Ventura-is-back.html :-D

"Ventura is back after a 3-years hiatus. With the help of partners and friends,
I was able to re-purchase the Ventura assets and to re-organize under the
newly founded Ventura Watch Ltd.

Back in 2005, I entrusted a shares-majority of Ventura Design on Time Ltd.
to investors in order to ascertain the company’s future and the financing
of ambitious projects such as a new automatic-digital watch movement.
By mid 2007, the new owners declared bankruptcy and the brand was to
be peddled to some US watch discounters.

That the good name of Ventura survived in spite is largely due to the
continuous worldwide customer service support provided by the loyal
team of former Ventura Germany, now Preciluxe Europe Inc. I feel deeply
indebted to all those who continued to believe in Ventura and enabled
the comeback, thank you.

Ventura Watch Ltd. engages to carry-on the development of innovative
quality timepieces in the design tradition of the late Hannes Wettstein and
of Paolo Fancelli, the creator of v-tec Sigma recently featured in the motion
picture «Bangkok dangerous» with Nicolas Cage.
While we are working on new projects, we are happy to make the now
iconic Sigma and other original Ventura v-tec, SPARC and v-matic time-
pieces available again, while supplies last.

Pierre Nobs
Founder, CEO
Ventura Watch SA.

I doubt very much that anyone whose credo is "fake rolex makes u proud" (it makes ME puke :~#) can have any interest in Ventura watches - escpecially as SPAM robots can't have any personal interests at all...

But anyway, the Ventura shop appears to be online now, all models available with 10 working days delivery time. Really true?

Not against the Euro, the Euro is as weak against the US$ as it hasn't been since 2006, at the moment we're leading in the money-printing duel... Maybe I better invest my money in more Venturas, gold is already too expensive. :-|

Maybe obama will print some more money to help make up for the continual softening of the dollar against all other currencies. The first printing effort wasn't a big enough joke.

Becareful what you wish for JThomas, in this case I think it will probably come true. :-(

Yes Rewolf, we've noticed. But it's still very 'unfavorable' for us Yankees.
But with this Greek economic crisis and the subsequent printing press frenzy.. who knows, we may someday reach a 1 to 1 ratio someday?
And maybe buying more Pulsars, Synchronars and GP Cassettes would be a more affordable investment option than Gold? :!:

Now seems to be a better time to buy watches priced in Euros or Swiss Francs.

It has been very quiet since they announced their resurrection almost 6 months ago - does anyone have any new information about Ventura? Anyone who knows anyone who has some inside info?

Oh no!! - I was so proud of my unique and rare Kappa (never released to market, only preproduction, I have SN 0067), and now every idiot wih enough money can buy one for only 1100€  ;-)
Excerpt from Ventura's Stocklist 2008-07-27:

But already having a Delta shouldn't hinder you in putting a Kappa on your list. How else could you find out the subtle differences between these models? ;-)

Big question: is the Delta module just a Kappa/Alpha module inserted upside down? Kappa left, Delta right:

Wish I had the money to own the KAPPA as well but not so

I'm thinking of selling some of my LED watches to to fund this KAPPA, the bay can be your friend some times ;-)
