The King doés stick his tongue out.

Post14 Mar 2012, 19:10

AndyB on TZ-UK reported that at 13.00 hours on the 13th the King stuck his tongue out on his Seiko SDGA.

Curiousity got the better of me  and I set the EPD manually back to 12.59
He díd stick his tongue out in alternating phase M:)W:)M
Only ónce as setting it back again gave no result.

I was wondering wether it was a hoax, but he doés

That´s interesting. I am sure there is even more hidden code which the users will discover during the lifetime of their watches. i know this from dot-matrix pinball games. Some cows appear on the display at special points of time.

Reminds me of the talking watch Nixon Dork that has secret messages at special times.

The technical (?) term for this is 'Easter Egg' .

Those Engineers are a mischievous bunch, quite a lot of software / firmware based things have such hidden goodies/badies (its kind of hard to do in pure hardware systems.....) From simple little things like the <Why> function in MATLAB to the full-on Flight Simulator that was in MS Excel a few years ago. Good to know that Seiko believes in the Easter Bunny too.

Although only a véry minor bunny, it ís fun.
The watch has lots of double bottoms like this starting from the start with the first mock ups, with the 06 dec.

For time keeping a Casio DW5600 is all we could possibly nééd so extra quality is one thing but I realy appreciate some fun or mkind games.

I líke this Seiko.
It is not just photons driving an electron pump powering a representation of time by physically shifting pigment, to the tune of a mechanically vibrating quartz cristal tuning fork, reset overnight by a coil activated through induction by a wave bouncing against the ionosphere from húndres of kilometers away ;-)

Still no photos of the engine on the web so I thought to amend that.

Now I understand why there aren´t any.

THE CASE BACK IS WIS RESISTANT!

Mine has grown quite a bit of sabi, being worn daily on the farm so I did not pussyfoot about.
I even put on gloves to use a serious knife but NO WAY.
The fit is só good that no hand tool can be wedged anywhere.
There is just no way to get it off without a special vice.

So, sorry, no photos from me either
