So... like or dislike? It's an awesome watch but those big buttons turn me off.

It is an analogue-digital watch. The pushers could be a problem and unless you retract the hands will cover the digital display at times.

Those buttons sure stand out. Interesting watch but doubt I would wear that. I'm more old school look with a modern twist. That one just doesn't do it for me.

Saw one in person, its a THICK watch, with a THICK price tag.

I still like the X-33 Gen 2 better :)

That is so true! I would mainly use the digital display for the stop watch function, but know from experience that I need to adjust the time in order to read the display. Then afterwards, use the time on the digital display to adjust the hands to the current time

I think the Omega design is quite cool though, wouldn't really mind the big buttons.

I guess the modern world is out of ideas.....most watches nowadays are direct copies of 70's watches with far lower quality applied.

Having restored the above watch, I love it. This is the basis for the new LCD backlit LED flight master. The new flight master is thicker and fits a large wrist nicely.

I spent an hour at the Omega boutique in Vancouver discussing the functions with the manager from a pilots standpoint. It is definitely a pilots watch. Even has a TMI (track message identifier) option which I have found on only one other watch, my HP01's which I wear on the flight deck.

The watch is thicker then the original, but less heavy. The alarm is really LOUD! You would actually hear it over the 80db din of a jet flight deck.

I liked it but could it justify 6000 USd.

The backlit LCD red display (via an LED) is very bright and mimics an LED nicely.

If you are a pilot, especially an international pilot with a large wrist, I wold recommend it. Just be aware at how thick it is, as you will be knocking it around in the confines of the cockpit. I find this with all watches though, fumbling for,the electric seat controls and etc.

Cheers, Geoff
