Casio F-91w

Post21 Oct 2014, 22:25

I know this isn't really a modern digital but the one in question is, anyway.. my daughter asked me to buy her one in white plastic but I'm having trouble knowing if the ones I'm seeing are genuine Casio or not. Did Casio make one in white plastic or are they all chinese repro?

They still make one:

She's got good taste - affordable retro cool and great functionality.

(My sons first watch was an F-91w in black :-) )

Thanks for the reply, there's one on eBay for £6.99 which uses that exact photo from the Casio website, I messaged the seller asking if it's genuine Casio but got no reply, I guess that answers my question.

Amazon have proper ones (slightly off-white) for 19.99 GBP.

Add post onto that and it's getting a little expensive for an F-91w.

You could buy a knock off one and a black genuine one and make a Frankenwatch with a real "made in China" Casio module (as opposed to a fake Casio "made in China" module) for less ;-)

Good idea, I must admit I do prefer the bright white colour of the knock offs compared to the creamy white colour of the gens..
