Pebble 1 review

Post21 Nov 2014, 03:38

I found a pair of used pebble watches at a flee market.

They were in a bin marked $2 each, or 10 watches for $10.
Both batteries needed charged. New charger on the way, I couldn't wait...

Made a homemade charger by taping on the -, + bare wire of a used USB cable.
Quickly I find out how bad ass these are, and I made a custom Synchronar face to use http://youtu.be/Z5qn-qBuwY4
Pretty cool watch, and some useful apps. Seems you can only have 8 apps total on watch at one time, so deciding what's going to be used most. Incoming text messages, and who's currently calling on wrist without having to dive for the phone is neat enough.
The newer '14 releases actually come apart for service or repair, but all the old ones are sealed tighter that a Synchronar!
Overall, I would pay full price for another ;-)
