Nixie Watch 2 tubes versus 4 tubes

Post27 Jan 2012, 01:36

Since working on a new design for a 2 tube Nixie Watch, I have also been asked to make a new design for a 4 tube nixie watch. I would like to know which one of these two would be more in demand.

Suppose you could choose between:
1) The two tubed Kopriso nixie watch as in one of the previous threads (50mm dial and 16.5mm thick)
2) A four tubed nixie watch which would be rectangular (approx 58x49x18, or approx 60x42x18, not sure yet which one of the two it will be).

Suppose that the performance of the two watches is identical. What would then be your preference?

Best regards,
Michel

Could you make a mock up of the 4 tube version for comparison?

I would prefer the 4 tube watch, but a comparison would be useful between to 2 and the 4 tube designs.

I would prefer a 4 tube watch so that you can tell the time at a glance. I don't like the compromise of having the hours and minutes displayed on the same tubes. I would rather compromise on a bigger case.
