LED pen help?

Post22 May 2014, 21:32

OK, I have one (yes, I know, but I am an LED freak :D ) but I cannot set it. It's an Edward, pretty standard with a button on the end to select time, date, day, seconds. Also has a button internally (unscrew case) to set - but this is not doing as it should, anyone got any ideas here? Clock is stuck on 1:00, I can get seconds but they reset every time. Cannot get date/day option.

I have an LED pen but I can't remember how I set it and don't have it at hand to check, Kasper has a few of these, I will check mine out tomorrow and let you know, unless Kasper or another member beats me too it.

turn the front with the pen off the pen...turn it around and use it to push in the hole...that in combo with the push button on the top side of the pen :-D

OK, I see that but even so I still just get the above with no response (unless I press both at the same time - then I get all LEDs lit at once).

Could it just be cheapie batteries?

(btw Kasper, it is a qualitron I believe, though no case.)

I want to use it but can no longer find the Garland double-end short refills anywhere. Can the old one be refilled perhaps since in effect it's just a tube with a ball on the end?

try holding it longer in? or a bad contact with the batts.

i don't know if its possible to refill..just go to your local pen shop and maybe he has a replacement.

DWF member Greg Ratcliff sells refills for the Garland twin-o-matic pens if that is what you're referring to.

I've just made a video showing how mine is set - don't know if it's the same module.
