Just picked up this zooming little beauty from ebay! Have been checking on accutrons for quite a while now and have only seen the price going up. Used some sniper software being (more) sure not to miss out this time and it paid off! :-D

It's the 1970's Railway Approved model with 214 movement, just what I was after!

Can't wait for it to arrive!

Nice watch, very simple and classy.

Here's a closeup view of the movement. You can zoom in using the mouse wheel until you can just barely make out the tiny 10 micron wide teeth on that amazing index wheel:

Here's a side view of a 218 index mechanism that shows it a little better - note the size in comparison to the ball point pen tip:

Amazing technology. I have no idea how they assembled these things. Magic?

Simple and classy, that is correctly said. Looks like those vintage railway clocks.
