One of my new chronographs...

Post07 Dec 2012, 03:56

Just thought I would share my latest passion for mechanical chronographs.

Poljot 3133
This is one of the most reasonable mechanical chronographs out there. They can be had for less than $200. The 23 jewel movement is really robust. Designed for Russian aviators and marines. If you have any interest look into getting one.

Wakmann/Breitling Valjoux 730
I will only have this for a short while. I am selling it to fund my Omega moon phase chronograph. But I really think this is one of the prettiest chronos of the last 50 years. I really love the panda face. I only hope my other watches sell first so I can keep this one.

I'll share more in the coming weeks as I get better with the new camera.

Wonderful chronos Mr.Tawny! The Poljot looks very elegant I must say. I wouldn't hesitate to wear it with a suit. While the Wakmann has a more sporty touch. ;-)

Very nice chronographs Mister Tawny. I like the Poljot 23 Jewel very much. I have my Sekonda astronaut in for repair at the moment. I think its the same movement. Ill post some pics when it returns.

Yes your Sekonda uses the 3133 movement. They are based on a Valjoux that is much more expensive and far less hearty for use.

I still say money for money it's the best value out there for a mechanical watch.
