need idea's with this pulsar p3 gold case.

Post14 Oct 2011, 23:18

hi all,

after many years lying around here, i wanted to do something with
this pulsar p3 gold case.
i still have a clean but not working module and the cristal was chattered at
the inside..so no use for that.

i cleaned it up for the first time..first shiny then as you could see at the lower side with some 1600 sanding paper to try the not shiny look..

first try and i'm very satified...but what now?

i have a golden case with no working module and no cristal?

i still have a zentra oled watch with the nice animated display but it's in blue.

anyone idea's what i can do?? i need suggestions please and you may go wild here..seetrough glas..with magnification ..in color ...no problem..i'm an optician..or do we like colormatic..darker in the sun.

and what do we take as a module??

go for it

Hi Kasper,

You can do a green filter like I did on this one:

Zentra is a new "company" that's rebranded this particular design of OLED watch. First time I've heard of them.

hi Sully,

yes i've seen these..but was it with a blue oled inside?
I don't know with how many colors they released this module..i've seen
it in white/green/blue/red.

but blue led with a green plastic cristal? Does that works?
And how about the pushers?
the oled module has 4..two on either sides doing the same thing. But what do i use to make the buttons work of the case?

always open for differend things :-D

Zentra is only available in Germany..no delivery to other countries. I was lucky cause my sister lives there.

These two threads might be of interest....

Blue display with green crystal works good - http://www.dwf.nu/Gallery/displayimage. ... play_media

You will need a couple of reed switches Piotr (Poland) was selling these recently on eBay (azimuth_pl) , his website is http://www.crazywatches.pl/about-me
some acrylic sheet available on eBay (very inexpensive)
some soldering skills and away you go.

oke all..it's pictures time !!! :-D

First thing to do was making a mall, so i can make as many cristals as i like in the material i want.

First i cut a big plastic mall with siccors

Image

Then finish it with the Dremel

Image

A bit of handsanding

Image

The i put it on my tracer and grind it, My first cristal is mineral glass..after finishing to perfection i can use it as a mall for others.

Next step is checking it and grind it as close as possible.

Next is working it to perfection bij hand.

Image

Thats what i call...perfection ..it fits tight even without securing it.

Image

Now that i have a perfect mall..i can use it for every other cristal.

Look..i found a organic dark brown glass with a gold coating on top...let's try :-D

it's so damn hard to take a good picture so you could see the gold glare.

next on my list is trying some other colors and coatings :-)

Hey kasper,

Yes, the blue OLED works well under green and blue. Orange works under orange, red and yellow. I've never tried a white module before.

That's some nice work with the crystal! Is the resulting piece actually glass? If it is, it'll be much more scratch resistant than the plexi we're currently using, and if you can color it whatever you choose, even better.

thx all,

glass is always colored in the mass..so the color sits in the material. (in my business). In the old days we sold many mineral glasses with gold tone anti-reflect mirror. These days, there are almost no manufacturers left who make these.
But i could always have a look around :-D
They could color the glass in 10,15,25,50 and 75 % color..most used colors were brown, grey and green. I have no idea for other colors.

Organic glass..that no problem..we could color it every color you like..and even put an hard anti scratch layer on top of it. It doesn;t mean that it's scratchfree.

the first one..was in glass..it's the mall i use from now on...the second is organic 75 % brown with gold mirror on top..it' to dark to see in the day cause of the mirror effect.

suggestion what you like to see always welcome :-D

and i have to think about changing the case for the pushers to work with the new module..my old module had working reeds but i don't like to destroy it.
