1st post TI 101 help

Great forum. I'm glad to have found it. I just picked up a squeeky clean TI 101. I put 2 new 357's in, but it wont start up. Is there a procedure to get it running again?

Thanks
Justin

Welcome to the forum Justin :-D

It should just jump to life when the next batteries are installed so long as they have been put in the right way around. Does the watch show any signs of life at all?

You could try cleaning the batteries contacts, a fibre tipped pen is ideal for this job, is the metal contact clip in position between the two batteries? Is the watch case metal or plastic?

I am only good for basic idea's but a photo of the module should entice some input from the more knowledgeable forum members.

And just for fun you did try the setting button? See, some TI, Litronix and few other odd ones were programmed to not run after a battery install, until the setting button was activated. That way they could ship them loaded and the batteries would not be getting ran down.

Look here if any question on directions for the batteries.
