Hi All,

I am new to the forum...my girlfriend bought me a "vintage" LED watch from the soviet union this past xmas...i love the watch..

last weekend i looked down to check the time and noticed that the 'stem' or top button had fallen out...now the watch is useless...do you guys know of anywhere to get replacement parts or a place i can send it for repair??..

i would appreciate any help ..

If it's the same as this then I'd be tempted just to buy a new one...

Otherwise ask in the marketplace on this forum giving a few more details about your watch - you'd be amazed at the amount of spare parts people around here tend to accumulate.

Buy a dead watch with nice case and swap the modules.
There are a few Elektronikas in nonworking condition almost every week on eBay.

Were these modules made only in the 24 hr/military format?

I have never seen an Elektronika display in 12-hr format. Remember, these were made in Eastern Europe, and they have been on 24-hr time since before the 70s. Even my Elektronika LCD pocket watch is on military time...

I think all Europeans aside the Brits have been using 24h mode for decades.
It's strange to call it military time because it's just something obvious to say 23:12 in Europe.
And yes, all Elektronikas use 24h mode unless there were a few for export to the US?
