Strange problem ...opinions??

Post28 Nov 2006, 17:38

Hi ,
I have a nos gruen led watch which seems to work perfectly, set well , all functions are displayed when buttons are pushed : date and seconds , the seconds advance at a normal pace when pusher is remained pushed (about 1sec/sec!)
BUT , the times doesn't move at all unless you keep your finger on the buttons showing the seconds.
I.E if you set it at 11:45 , you come back one hour later it's still 11:45 and the seconds haven't advance. They only move when the button is pressed.
Do you have any idea in what is involved in that?
Anyone experienced that already?Olivier

My guess is it has a Frontier module(yes/no?), with the little spring coming out of the back of the module...either the spring isn't touching the back, or not making contact with the module. Funny system they have.

Yeah, it's not getting enough voltage. The only thing that's giving it enough voltage to display and keep time is the steel button touching the contact. Can you post a photo of the module?
