faulty 1601 module

Post04 Jan 2007, 21:25

I dont hold out much hope for a repair for this module but here it goes !!
Module is an omega 1601 out of a TC2. (magnet set )I can set the date , month and hour with no problems. When i attempt to set the minutes the module counts from zero to nine then oscillates between figure eight and nine and wont count any further. If i remove the magnet it counts to nine minutes 59 secs then back to eight minutes. I have been advised its probably a logic fault but i,m hoping for a Techie miracle from one of you guys. Any ideas/ suggestions gratefully accepted-thanks
