Novus LED Watch Display Problem

Post28 May 2007, 19:42

My Novus LED men's watch has worked okay untill today. When I pressed button to display time the display only showed one number segment like 3. The batteries were low so I changed them. Still have same problem. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Tyrone.

you're right Ed, but what next if the swap doesn't help?
I have a few of such National Semiconductor modules.
repairing a track was the solution on one occasion. what are other options?

There's not much you can do with those if replacing the QC doesn't work. If you heat it up and it works, then it could be a problem within the IC or if you're lucky, a bad solder joint in an area that is accessible...That includes "repairing a track" if I get your lingo. :)
