the service you require can be applied by any watchmaker.
but knowing the prices in London, you'll be better off and with some savings by sending the watches to one of us maniacs.

hi azimuth

many thanks for replying to my message.
maniac is good! in fact i'm so glad there are maniacs like you around.
i wouldn't trust an ordinairy jeweller to do the more specialised stuff.
i've recently strarted collecting leds and early lcds.
how do i contact you if i need a repair/ maintenance job? do you have a direct email address.
btw are you Piotr Samulick?

all the best

I can heartily recommend Piotr as he's done work for me in the past. It seems that if you want work done on a watch then it has to go on a journey. (currently 1 in USA, 2 in Fife, 1 in Poland and I'm posting another there today!)

As for the Pound, cheap watches from abroad  Of course you're stuffed if you want to sell........

I'm within the European Union so you can go ahead and send inquiries about your needs for restoring watches 8-)

Of course, USA customers never have that problem, since we don't have a duty tax. Real problem is with your customs people, who arbitrarily decide what they should stiff you with. I did that repair but only claimed a nominal, low value, since I can't very well appraise the value of vintage items that may die at any moment :o .

Sorry, John, my mistake. I wouldn't have imagined you had more than one P2 out for service. But hey, we do need a broader base of repair-people.

I thought you were happy.....I hated to think you son had a better one than you just because I had deatailed his first. I think you guys are "tied"
now.
