Welcome ChazD. Well, if you've lurked for a while you probably understand that there are no new internal parts available except batteries and quartz crystals. Modules are the golden items...ugly watches are raped for their "engine". Different people have some schematics, but their value is mainly in simple knowledge seeking, since most of the circuitry is tied up in ICs that can't be worked on anyway. Old repair books from the LED era pop up occasionally on ebay or you stumble upon one at some sort of sale. Start slow, ask questions and approuch it with a sense of humor....kind of like women!

And look at our "Before you Buy" section, all kinds of dodgy deals and charecters out there. "Someone always has to piss in the pool" :x

Back when LED watches first appeared many of the major semiconductor manufacturers- RCA, National Semiconductor, Texas Instruments and Intersil to mention but four- were involved in making the chips and dies for LED watches. To help designers they used to publish Data Books yearly with the chips and recommended circuits (schematics) in. The books from around 1973 to 1978 contain a fair amount of information- NS had a dedicated Special Function book which contained their LED watch chips (they later moved all the watch chips into the MOS/LSI book). This is probably as close as you will get to schematics for a LED watch (although a few electronics magazines from this era had self build projects for wrist & pocket LED watches). Where you would find these books now I couldn't guess- they were cheaply printed and fell apart really quickly (the RCA books are probably the best made of them! TI fell apart if you looked at them sideways and NS weren't too bad).
