can this module be set to show a 12 hr pattern?
its a dot matrix design module and has dot colon between the hr and min displays, also shows date and flashing month read out with two pushes of the button.
they seam to be scarcer than the regular 12 hr versions.

It can but it's a lot of work and you need to find the right wire bond to move to make it 12 hour. Best to leave it.

thanks for the info.are these 24 hr modules quite scarce ? were they made for specific watch brands? i would have thought the 24 hr module was quite a specialist market.

I don't know which brands they were most commonly found in but the modules were rare. I find they don't do as well amongst the casual LED buyers as most people do not like 24 hour time and the ones that do like the option of 12 hour. The rare 24 hour Pulsar watches are an exception.

I aim to pee.

As for the glass, I suggest you do what azimuth suggests...I just popped in the thread and didn't read much further. Two part epoxy is the only way to go. Glue is for plastic and epoxy is for glass. Even if you can conceal glue, the glass is heavier and it won't stay bonded as well over time. That's the way they did it back in those days, as well.
