Source for trimmers

Post08 Dec 2011, 23:15

Hi all

Does anyone have a good source for the trimcaps on the crystal circuit.
I see RS (in UK) have some smd 5pF-30pF units but the might even be
too small physically. Any others around 7mm pin to pin?

Cheers

This sounds like the trimmer on the front of P2 and P3 Pulsar modules. They are 6.5mm across the leads. The manufacturer, Johanson, is still in business, and this particular trimmer is still in production. Visit their website and I am sure you will find what you need (and of course, these can be salvaged from most any dead P2 or P3 module; plenty of those still out there, too). The smaller, cylindrical trimmer on the back of the modules has been discontinued, so scrap modules will be the only source of those.

Bruce

Actually just fro general use. Right now I'm trying to coax a Citizen LCD into life but I'm sure they'll be others.

Cheers
