LCD REPAIR Possible? Anyone do circuit Repair?

Post12 Dec 2011, 16:10

Hello All, and Thanks in advance...

I've acquired a vintage LCD that I decided I really like. It, however, is not working despite battery attempts and putting it in front of a high end watchmaker. I'm new to the digital stuff, so ask;
-Are there folks out there that will actually repair circuitry?
-If so, any recommendations?

THANKS!

-oh, and acquiring another movement is not an option

Welcome..

As others will no doubt say, please post a picture(s) of the watch and module. along with a clue to the nature of the fault. Probably best to use the repair/workbench section of the forum

There's a number of people here with some excellent knowledge and experience that I'm sure can help (myself excluded though..)

Cheers

first, as we all are collectors, we love to see some pictures if you have a rare watch in your hands.
it is the only way for us to get smarter so we could maybe help and repair some special rare watches.
The bulova Phantom is a watch you don't see every day...so pics of the inside are more than welcome. Maybe we have other watches that uses some of the parts of the Bulova.

or you just sent the watch to me..and i will have a look at it..handle it with my white gloves..say : hmmmm that looks nice and say to you..sorry..the best thing to do is sell it for parts. :-D

btw circuit repair and bleeding lcd is almost impossible to repair but hey..you never know..i have a very thin lcd watch here..maybe you could use some parts...but then again..we still have no idea how it looks like :eek:

with other words...we love to help but we need more info.
