Seiko model never seen before (pics)

Post25 Mar 2012, 01:40

ciao a tutti,

this model is kind of funny, the fron looks absolutely fake,
the Seiko label on top, the kind of LCD display, and it even looks
like the case is not the right one.

The back, however, looks like is an original one.
The back states is model 6119-1460 or it could be G119-1460

Did anyone has ever seen it before ?

Thanks in advance for any help, or advice
Alberto

That module looks really, really cheap ! At least it does have a trimmer though.
I would say it's definately not a Seiko module. I agree, the sticker on the front looks fake too.

Looks like they're faking Seikos now :-?

Completely Feiko! There was a discussion about this very "watch" over on pocketcalculatorshow a few weeks back when it first appeared. Back is for a mechanical Seiko (6119) that has had a few holes drilled in it and possibly an alarm disc added. module is Homg Kong cheapy (Collins. Time Trands?) and face plate looks to have a home made Seiko logo plate (type face is wrong). There are quite a few Feikos on EBay at the present time (the "Arnie" H558 is the worst offender) so as ever, Caveat Emptor (or just ask on a forum).

Too funny, the alarm disc is upside down and the moduel obviously doesn't have a contact for alarm function. Looks like the module you usually pull out of a $15 department store cheapy from the mid 80s and forward.
